Restaurant THIR13EN is the second restaurant opened and run by Chef/Owner Adam Pechal, who has been working in the culinary field for more than half his life. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in New York, Chef Pechal has trained and worked for such renowned chefs as Mark Miller and Thomas Keller. Adam opened Tuli Bistro in 2007 to rave reviews and it is still a favorite among local diners for its innovative menus which include locally grown and organic ingredients.
Now as we re-anchor in an historic corner in Sacramento, Chef Adam has opened RESTAURANT THIR13EN in The Sterling Hotel. With a passion that matches his appetite THIR13EN will showcase a love of local and seasonal foods with a community table to break bread as we once often have.
RESTAURANT THIR13EN sets out to capture the sophistication and charm of its remarkable heritage of the Sterling Hotel, while embracing the simple essence of the local dining scene that Sacramento has become. RESTAURANT THIR13EN will incorporate the philosophies of farm to table dining in its unpretentious yet sophisticated approach to food, yet will elevate these fundamentals to a level the majestic Sterling Hotel deserves.
We know that our customers want to connect with their food as much as they want to connect with those sharing it around the table. We feature seasonal, organic and local produce year-round on our daily-changing menus, including the super-local Soil Born Farms, an innovative urban agriculture project located within Sacramento. Our meat and dairy is from humanely raised, natural sources as much as possible.
Our 13 seat community table will serve as a wonderful place to sit and dine with friends old and new while sharing the delights of both the THIR13EN kitchen and its premium full bar. In addition to a bevy of ﬁne liquors and a rotating selection of international beers, THIR13EN will offer a bold new look at cocktails and the rediscovered art of mixology.
